March 17^th, 37 young aspiring triathletes gathered at Trellis Bay, Beef Island to take part in the 2^nd youth development event hosted by the BVI Triathlon Federation (BVITF) and BSAFE.  Children under 15 with interest in any portion of the triathlon – swim, bike, or run - were encouraged to participate regardless of their individual ambitions.

We had the about the same number of competitors as the first event, but with a few new faces mixed in as well.   I found it very encouraging that so many children came out.

Continuing the Program in 2012

The past 2 months of the New Year have flown by.  I have found my self responsible for many different children's activities.  The logistics of organizing the BSAFE program with public schools, coupled with the BVI Triathlon Federation's Youth Devolpment Program and also managing all the Kids And The Sea (KATS) programs I feel it is easier to provide links to satisfy any questions a reader might have.

I am hoping to gradually find the rhythm to get up more postings on this site.
