BSAFE introduces free bussing to ensure students have a good learning experience.

The BSAFE program resumed after a brief break for Easter. “BSAFE has finally reached some public schools that have no area for the program to be conducted properly, so I decided the only way for me to continue would be to come up with a free bussing option”, said Chris Ghiorse director of BSAFE. “I did not budget in the expense for this service, but thanks to the help and understanding of Karl Scatliffe from Scato’s Bus Services I have been able to tackle the remaining schools on my to do list without putting the program in financial jeopardy.”

 Students all set to go and patiently listening to instructions.

There were three schools, five classes a total of 50 students that needed bussing. Honourable Julian Fraser as the representative for the Third District is supporting the two classes from Ebenezer Thomas Primary School.  BDO and Burke’s Garage are sponsoring the two classes from Alexandrina Maduro Primary School and Horizon Yacht Charters is financing Isabella Morris Primary. “Finding a way to provide affordable bussing has really freed up some of the constraints I have been experiencing when trying to coordinate these classes”, said Chris. “The support for the program continues to be fantastic. I think people realize that in a few years so many young students will have done this safety program that it is bound to change the way we drive on our roads in the BVI.” 

The BSAFE programrequires donations for classes starting on May 18^th
