Buzzbee Youth Racing Series Event 3 Results

On Saturday May 22nd, BSAFE hosted the 3rd event of the Buzzbee Youth Bicycle Racing Series.  47 competitors showed up to try their skill and speed on the HLSCC campus.  The event saw new names rise to the top and also confirmed a few overall winners even with the final on July 10th still to go. The overall age group winners of the series will win a BMX bicycle worth over $400.

“I made this 3rd event a bit more of a physical challenge to see how some of the riders would handle a more selective uphill finish,” said Chris Ghiorse the Buzzbee race director.  “It was interesting to see how strong some of the riders got right near the end of their races.  In fact the 8-10 boy’s winner and 11-13 boy’s and girl’s winners all came form behind in the final straight to win their categories.”

8-10 age group riders racing for the first turn

The Buzzbee Youth Series is developing steadily and with 3 events completed the number of participants has exceeded 100.  A few of the smaller age group leaders have sealed their overall victory while the 8-10 and 11-13 boys are still up for grabs.

“The 8-10 boy’s age group is the largest with 46 different riders.  Over half of all the competitors have come to only one event so far,” said Chris.  “I would like to see them all return to try and improve their racing, but I think this statistic will always exist. I feel there are a lot of potential cyclists out there and my goal is to try and expose our youth to cycling and if they really enjoy it they will find a way to get involved.  Everything i am offering is free, so there is no excuse; all you have to do is show me you want to ride.”

“My biggest dilemma right now is that I receive a lot of phone calls before each event from children who need a ride, unfortunately i have to explain that they need to bring a parent or guardian in order to race.  I know i could double the number of participants if i was more flexible on this issue. Maybe next year i can generate enough revenue to provide busing for each district.”

This series is still looking for funding and at present is only made possible by the support of the BSAFE program and its volunteers.  BSAFE exists through the title sponsorship from Hon. Andrew A. Fahie and the Ministry of Education, and the major supporters Caribbean Alliance and their agents Caribbean Insurers, Burke’s Garage, Ogier and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The Buzzbee event owes thanks to many, and is grateful to HLSCC for allowing the event to take place on their field.

The volunteers were numerous.  DJ Outlaw donated his super sound system for the call to the line and to fill in pauses with his music.  Rotaract had a huge contingent and helped Nicole Charles kept all the points and heats organized and aided Michel Penn at the finish line. Kay Reddy had special efforts rounding up riders from the Fun Day distractions.  Cedar School students, Yael Gordon-Fox and Mary Findley filled in forms and pinned numbers on the riders and kept track of the starting line. Orano Andrews kept the call to line in order during the event.  The Red Cross was ever present and thankfully only was called on for advice in one crash.

The results below reflect the riders place in this event.

An Overview of Viagra Uses:

Viagra® (sildenafil citrate) is a medication that has been licensed to treat erectile dysfunction.
Erectile dysfunction (ED), also known as impotence, is defined as a total inability to achieve erection,
an inconsistent ability to do so, or a tendency to sustain only brief erections. Essentially,
erectile dysfunction is the repeated inability to get or keep an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse.

How Does Viagra Work?

Viagra is very effective at treating erectile dysfunction.
The medication works by blocking a chemical that causes blood to flow out of the penis.
More blood in the penis means an improved erection.

Generic Cialis:

Cialis is currently protected by a patent that prevents any generic versions from being manufactured.
However, once the patent for the drug expires in 2016, several companies likely will start manufacturing
a generic Cialis. Before then, be wary of any company claiming to have a generic version of this drug.
It may not be what the company claims.
